Still Haven't Been Fishing....deep sigh...4/10/2025
by Capt Juls on 04/10/25It just never ends...
I apologize to all of you who check my blog before coming out here, or while here because I have nothing to share yet.
My trip yesterday, with my regulars, was set up...and, canceled, due to a medical reason, so instead....I sold my 2023 boat.Yay!
So, the day wasn't a total loss. I also gave a test ride to a "Fisherman's Central" customer, who is looking to buy his next boat, and at least got on the water to zip around in the boat for a little bit.
The wind just doesn't want to quit here. One day here and one day there, we get a nice day, but most of them are days with gusty winds changing direction on the daily.
My Father and Son trip that was scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, is being rescheduled, due to the north wind forecast for Saturday (the father is 73yo and doesn't like the rough stuff). So, I have made plans to get out on Sunday with a friend to do some fun fishing and get the cobwebs off the rods. :)
Looking ahead at my 3-day trip that is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, it appears that that trip might be a loss too. Big winds are expected again, for two of the three days, but it's still too far out to call yet. Right now, it's calling for:
Monday: 11-21 SW with rain
Tuesday: 16-30 WNW
Wednesday: 15-30 NW
I don't want people driving from states away, to only sit on shore and look at the lake, so I try to make the best call I can, at the latest possible moment, before they would leave.
Sometimes, that bites me in the ass, but I think that's what I would want my guide to do, if the positions were reversed.
Anyway....just an update on why I haven't been blogging any reports yet. I just don't have any yet. Hopefully, Sunday!
Stay Tuned....
Capt Juls
